Sant Mela Singh College celebrates Annual Day function

JAMMU, May 31:  Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana celebrated its 11th Annual Day function in the college premises here today.
On the occasion, Mahant Manjit Singh, the sole trustee was the chief guest . The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest followed by Sarawati Vandana.
Dr Kiran Luthra, Principal of the college gave the power point presentation of annual report highlighting various curricular and co-curricular activities of the college conducted during the session. A colourful programme was presented by the students, comprising gidda, Dogri dance, Kashmiri dance, Rajasthani folk dance, Punjabi song, an act on Krishan Sudama Milap and Punjabi Bhangra. Punjabi folk dance(gidda) was highly applauded by the audience.
A book ” Eh Babeeha Pasu Hai”(vol ii)  authored by Prof Anmol Singh was also released by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Prizes and mementoes were given to the winners, talented and best students of the college by the chief guest.
Prof Anmol Singh, chairman  of the college extended the vote of thanks. Other present were Dr Nater Singh( Principal Sant Rocha Singh College) , Prof Hardev Singh (editor sikh sandesh), S S S Bijral, Lakhbir Singh Bawa, S Janak Singh and others.
