KATHUA, Sept 24: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of the Sant Nirankari Mission, organized a voluntary blood donation camp at the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Kathua.
A statement said that the camp was inaugurated by Dr Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner of Kathua, who praised the Sant Nirankari Mission for their altruistic blood donation efforts and their consistent commitment to such humanitarian events. He specifically commended the female donors for their dedication.
Later in the day, Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, visited the Blood Donation Camp and applauded the donors for their generosity. He also extended his congratulations to the Sant Nirankari Mission for their initiative.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge for Jammu, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and praised the donors for their selfless service.
He highlighted that the mission has been organizing blood donation camps for the past 37 years, inspired by the message of Baba Hardev Singh that “blood should flow in veins not in drains.”
Babu Ram, Sanyojak of the Kathua branch, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Ranjeet Singh, DC State Taxes Kathua, Dr Zulfikar, Dr Taseer from the Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Dr Mona Jamwal from GMC Kathua, Sat Pal Khetriya Sancahlak Kathua, and several senior citizens and social workers from the community.
The camp was organized in collaboration with the Blood & Transfusion Department of Government Medical College Jammu, GMC Kathua, and JKSACS.
