JAMMU, Sept 6: Sant Nirankari Mandal (SNM) R.S Pura organized a voluntarily blood donation camp at Nirankari Satsang Bhawan for Thalesemia patients.
A handout stated that the camp was held under the banner of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the socio economic wing of SNM and volunteers from branch Sai, Miran Sahib and Arnia participated.
All the necessary precautions for the prevention of COVID infections were taken in the camp wherein 50 donors donated their blood.
The camp was inaugurated by PVC Captain Bana Singh (retired) who while speaking on the occasion said, we are fighting a deadly pandemic and Sant Nirankari Mission is working towards the welfare of humankind selflessly.
He further said that blood donation is the noblest donation to save a human life.
Speaking on the occasion Ajit Singh, SNM Zonal In-charge Jammu said, SNM volunteers are always ready to serve the humanity and spread the message of Baba Hardev Singh Ji that ‘blood should flow in veins and not in drains’.
Master Tara Singh, SNM Sanyojak for R.S Pura delivered welcomed address and vote of thanks.
Other dignitaries presented on the occasion were Dr Davinder Singh, Blood Bank GMC Jammu; Dr Mohan Lal Menia (retired) ENT Consultant GMC and several senior citizens and social workers.
The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Department of GMC Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
