Sapna Kotwal concludes Poonch visit

JAMMU, June 24: Secretary Advisory Board for Development of Pahari Speaking People, Sapna Kotwal, today concluded her 4-day tour of Poonch District to assess the functioning of Boys and Girls Pahari Hostels.
A press statement said that the visit aimed to ensure high-quality facilities and well-maintained infrastructure, focusing on a holistic approach to education and development.
During the visit, Kotwal inspected the facilities and stressed the importance of cleanliness and improved infrastructure in the hostels.
She also held a meeting with the wardens to review ongoing projects such as the construction of a Girls’ Pahari Hostel at Qazi Mohra Poonch, and construction of a multipurpose hall and an approach road to the Boys Pahari Hostel Poonch.
Kotwal instructed the officials to prepare project proposals promptly and conduct awareness programs to inform the public about hostel services.
She emphasized the need for residents’ overall development, including participation in cultural, sports, and academic activities.
The wardens were also urged to address drug abuse issues and ensure a drug-free environment.
