Saraf seeks support of parties for passage of Shrines Bill

SRINAGAR, Mar 30: Sanjay Saraf, Jammu and Kashmir chief of Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) while urging all political parties to support in the approval of Temples and Shrine Board Bill, said that this process would protect the property of Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the media, here Sanjay Saraf said that other political parties besides the National Conference (NC), PDP, Congress and CPIM should openly support it.
Expressing concern over the dilapidated condition of the roads in the Valley, Saraf said that now that the tourism activities are starting, the condition of the roads here should also be improved. “Improving roads is also a call of time,”he added.
Demanding a review of mining ban, Saraf said that this process would have a negative impact on development works. Saraf said that it needs to be run under one system.
Condemning the harsh incident in Sopore, Saraf who is also LJP national spokesman said that there would not be benefit from such incidents. He said that so far one lakh people have been killed in the last over 30 years but nothing has been achieved through violence.
Welcoming the new participants, Saraf said that joining of Masood – Ul – Hassan & Other political leaders in the LJP would strengthen the party.
Sahil Bashir Butt was elected vice president and spokesperson, Masood – ul – Hassan was elected vice president. Sanjay Raina senior vice president, Muhammad Yaqub Butt senior leader , Anita Chandpuri ,Women’s Wing president, Abdul Hameed Khan general secretary and Ishfaq Gilkar were also present in the press conference.
