JAMMU, Apr 21: Saraswati Sangeet Kalamandir Jammu organized a scintillating cultural evening at Abhinav Theatre here today.
On this occasion, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Dr. Aziz Hajini was the chief guest while Station Director Radio Kashmir, Jammu, V. K. Sambyal and prominent social and cultural activist, Yudhvir Sethi were the guest of honour.
Dr. Hajini assured the management of Saraswati Sangeet Kalamandir, that every possible support will be provided for strengthening their initiative to promote fine arts, music, dance and theatre.
Earlier, the programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries followed by a short documentary film on the journey of Saraswati Sangeet Kalamandir.
The programme also included orchestra by Saptak Band, a constituent of the institution. Rag-RAs Dogri Group Dances, Rakesh Group Song choreographed by Supriya Sharma while Indu Bala kept the audience spell bound by presenting “Beti-Bachao, Beti-Padhao” theme in her melodious voices. The programme was composed by Ravi Sharma.
The musicians included Kamal, Sharma, Rakesh Anand, Darbari Lal, Rohit Kumar, Amit Anand, Karan Malhotra, Sumit Sharma and Manmohan.
