Sarfu Ram Sharma Memorial Cricket Tourney inaugurated

JAMMU, Jan 9: Subedar Sarfu Ram Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Kr Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary JKCA District Jammu) at Kodewala Cricket Ground Akhnoor, here today.
He advised the youth to participate in the sports and games as they keep the body fit and mind sound. About 10 teams are participating in this event.
First match was played between Mishriwala Cricket Club and Master Blaster Kodewala. Batting first Mishriwala CC scored 131 runs for the loss of nine wickets wherein Vikas scored 70 runs and Mohni scored 31 runs. From bowling side, Raj Singh, Sikander and Love Singh shared two wickets each while Davinder got one wicket.
In reply, the Master Blaster bundled out at 66 runs and lost the match with big margin of 65 runs. Vishal made 22 highest runs and Vicky scored 13 runs. From bowling side, Sunny took four wickets and Lucky clinched two wickets.
This tournament is being organised by Sanjeev Sharma and Davinder Sharma under the supervision of Kanta Devi, wife of late Sub Sarfu Ram Sharma. Sunil Ray Radha, Devi Dass, Gopal Sharma, Vinod Sharma and Shashi Sharma were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
