KISHTWAR, Oct 31: Former Minister, G.M Saroori, here today visited Kuchal village and met families who suffered losses in devastating fire incident of October 29 wherein the tragedy resulted in complete destruction of four residential houses and a shop.
The affected families were without shelter and essential commodities and Saroori expressed deep concern for their welfare.
He pledged his support in seeking aid for their immediate rehabilitation.
Saroori urged the Government to release a special relief package to assist the affected families in rebuilding their homes.
Emphasizing the need for prompt action, he appealed to the administration to provide financial assistance that would enable the victims to reconstruct their residences without any delay.
Saroori also expressed concern over rising incidents of fire in the region which have caused significant loss to the property.
He asked the Omar Abdullah led Government to implement enhanced safety measures to prevent future tragedies and protect vulnerable communities.
