Saroori intensifies campaign for Azad in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Apr 2: Launching an intensified campaign, senior leader and Congress MLA from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today said people support Congress party because for its slogan of ‘Hindu, Muslim, Sikh etihad (unity)’.
Saroori held a series of Congress party workers meetings at his residence at Kishtwar beside public meetings at Rangolla and Thathri and took stock of poll preparation ahead of April 17.
While addressing Saroori urged the people to vote for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Parliament seat, Ghulam Nabi Azad because Congress is the only party which believe that India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and want all people from all parts of the Country to live happily throughout the length and breadth of India.
“Without naming Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Saroori said every time at the time of elections the parties leadership uses different tactics to gain the vote bank on the basis of religion, caste and creed, whereas, Congress party has never changed its stand and believes in secularism.” He called upon the people to cast vote on the basis of all round development, secularism, integrity of nation and for communal harmony.
People on the occasion complaint to Mr. Saroori that Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department is providing 5Kg rice per Ration Card instead of 15 Kg to the poor consumers.
Saroori urged the party workers to work hard and explore all the resources for ensuring the victory of Ghulam Nabi Azad in upcoming Parliament elections.
Prominent among those included Capt Jagdish, Ghulam Qadir Tappal, Tariq Wani, Mohd Aslam Saroori, Altaf Malik, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Ghulam Mohd Kohli, Chowdhary Issaq, Ghulam Qadir Sheikh and Mohammad Iqbal.
