Saroori reviews development works

KISHTWAR, May 30 : Former Minister and MLA Inderwal G M Saroori visited Bathri, Dagroon and Khara area of Bhalesha and took stock of various ongoing developmental schemes.
The public shown concern over the poor performance of Rural Development Department especially in MGNREGA where only Rs 8 lakh payments has been made against the labour budget of Rs 60 lakh, MLA issued direction to District Administration for immediate inquiry.
While taking stock of electric works he found some hamlets un-electrified . He released Rs 10 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for electrification of Garmalon, Tass Mohallah, Lone Pura, Malik Mohallah and Kuvli Pura. He also released Rs 1 Lakh for repair and renovation of roof of Lower Bathri School which got damaged due to winds. He also released Rs 1 Lakh out of his CDF for purchase of ten Sintex tanks 1000 liters each.
At Khara, public brought various issues in his notice especially slow progress of ongoing works of Road construction at Khara Tanta, Goila, Tharankle. He issued a direction to Executive Engineer to complete the work in time. Saroori assured public that these projects would be completed well in time so that general public could be benefited. He also announced that drinking water scheme has also been sanctioned for Hamlet, Kanoon and Bathri . Saroori stressed upon the public to strengthen the hands of Coalition Government and take the benefits of ongoing welfare schemes .
