Saroori takes stock of people’s grievances

KISHTWAR, May 15:  Former  Minister and Congress MLA from Inderwal Ghulam Mohd Saroori  today reviewed the development works and listened to the grievances of the people from Kahra area  of Thathri.
During the public meeting, the people projected various demands and problems of their respective areas seeking an early redressal to the same. The issues raised by the people of the hilly areas included installation of electric poles, improvement in drinking water supply, filling of vacant posts in schools, timely completion of ongoing development works and speedy execution of rural development works etc.
Interacting with the people on the occasion, Saroori said that only Congress Government can provide all basic facilities to the people, adding that a well conceived programme has been devised to address all public issues in a phased manner.
Saroori directed Executive Engineer R&B Gandoh for early start of work on Kahi- Trankhle road, black topping on Bitola-Kencha road, construction of tractor road for HSS Kencha, early completion of DPR main bazaar to ST Basti Kahra, early construction of school buildings Dugron, Trankhal, disbursement of compensation to land owners and early completion of Kahra-Challar road. He also directed Power Department officials for repair of  damaged transformers in the area and completion of work over HT line for Bani.
He asked CAPD staff for early distribution of pending ration, Kerosene oil and LPG gas among consumers of  tehsil Kahra.  Later, Saroori also visited HSS Malanoo and HS Kencha and met with students. He  sanctioned funds for the construction of tile work in the ground premises, grill work for fencing of the school.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include SDPO Gandoh BK Ganju, AD CAPD Doda Sayed Ahmed, Tehsildar Kahra Ghulam Nabi Malik, Executive Engineer R&B Gandoh Abdul Rasheed Sheikh, BDO Kahra Pritam Lal, ZEO Bhatyas Gopal Ram, TSO Kahra Liyakat Ali and PHE and PDD officials concerned.
