JAMMU, Dec 20: Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori today visited Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu to enquire about the health of Zaitoona Begum who is suffering from heart disease and needs pacemaker insertion and Choudhary Ismaeil who suffering from kidney problem.
He was accompanied by HoD Dr Susheel Sharma, Dr Bali and other officers of the hospital.
Mr Saroori alleged that GMC authorities have failed to look after the sanitation of the hospital and associated institutions which are in shambles. “Emergency Wing of the hospital caters to thousands of patients from across the State every day, but when it comes to the sanitation, there is lot to be desired. The bathrooms in the hospital are overflowing with sewage, and dirty water. The pipes are leaking, the faucets do not work, and toilets smell as if these have not been cleaned for years”, Saroori said
