JAMMU, Sept 11: Miran Sahib police booked a Sarpanch and his associates for threatening public servants from discharging lawful activities.
As per police sources, a drive was launched by District Administration to remove the encroachments at village Jasore, Miran Sahib.
During the drive, Tehsildar RS Pura, BDO RS Pura and SHO Miran Sahib SI Hilal Azhar were present on the spot when Sarpanch of village Jasore namely Koushal Kumar Sharma, son of Dev Anand of Jasore along with his associates threatened the public servants from discharging lawful duties.
The Sarpanch alongwith his associates also assaulted the public servants and created trouble for the latter to carry out lawful duties.
A case under FIR Number 146/15 under Section 341, 353, 186, 147, 504 and 506 RPC has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and manhunt launched to nab the Sarpanch and his associates.
