R.S PURA, Aug 30: Sarpanch Gandli Panchayat, Gurdeep Singh Saini here today inaugurated construction of a lane in village Gandli which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.5 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Saini announced plans for swift development of a park to be named after Shaheed Tarsem Lal which shall be followed by other developmental projects within the village.
He expressed gratitude to Mandeep Kaur, Commissioner of Rural Development Department and other officials for their support in securing special funds for development of the Panchayat.
“Nearly 90 per cent of planned developmental projects have already been completed within the Panchayat and the remaining ones will also be executed within scheduled time,” Sarpanch Gurdeep said adding: “While the amenities like electricity, water and healthcare facilities have already provided to the villagers, efforts are being made to elevate the village to the status of a model one.”
Among those who were present on the occasion were Naib Sarpanch, Pyare Lal; Panch, Satya Devi; Panch, Pawan Singh and others.
