DODA, Oct 7: Sarpanch Panchayat Chagsoo Lakhmi Chand and Panch Ward Number 6 Hagoona Puran Chand in one day Back to Village program at Ward Number 6 Hagoona, Panchayat Chagsoo, Block Chirrala have raised the issue of acute shortage of drinking water in the Panchyat in general and Ward Number 6 Hagoona in particular.
Many other issues were also discussed about the development of the Panchayat but specific issues which were projected during the B2V meeting at Ward Number 6 Hagoona include acute shortage of drinking water in Hagoona village, shortage of electricity, construction of roads, etc.
Behari Lal Bhagat, Ex-Member, Ward Number 6 and active member of Thathri Development Front, District Doda has expressed surprise that District level or Tehsil level officers of various departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Irrigation, Rural Development etc never aware farmers of the Panchayat Chagsoo about various welfare schemes.
He drew the attention of DC Doda to look into the matter seriously and take cognizance of the slackness of the erring officers.
