Sarpanch shot at, OGW held

SRINAGAR, Aug 27: Militants this evening shot at and injured a Sarpanch in a South Kashmir village while police arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of a militant outfit today.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) South Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said that militants this evening shot at Qutubdin Shah of Gulbagh, Awantipora in South Kashmir. He was shot in the leg and has been removed to Srinagar for treatment.
Police today arrested an OGW Ghulam Hassan Wani son of Ghulam Nabi Wani from Sirhama, Bijbehera and an AK-47 rifle was recovered from.
