JAMMU, Oct 11: Blacktoping of two kilometer road from Chackmaani to Jhiri via Dab-Karam-Din was today started by Sarpanch, Meena Devi of Panchayat Rajpura.
A handout stated that the road was a long pending demand of the people and they were facing difficulties to reach Jhiri Dev Asthan of Baba Jitto during Jhiri Mela.
Speaking on the occasion Meena Devi said the two km road will now facilitate the locals.
She also said that people of the area were deprived of development but know the Government has taken the initiative to develop the villages at par with the urban areas.
Ex-Sarpanch Dhanatar Singh ( Bittu), Panch Krishna Devi and Ex-District Sports Officer, Tirath Ram were also present on this occasion.
