Sarpanches play big role for welfare of society: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, Jan 11: Dogra Kranti Dal chief patron, BJP leader and former MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia has said that social service rendered by Sarpanches has played a big role towards the welfare of the society.
He further said that that it is the responsibility of elected public representatives to work day and night for the welfare of the people who elected them to powers.
Mankotia was speaking at a felicitation function organized here today for the Sarpanches of Udhampur district wherein he felicitated 157 Sarpanches with letters of appreciation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sarpanches expressed their gratitude towards Mankotia for recognising their services to the society.
SHO Udhampur, Raghubir Singh was also present on the occasion as a special guest.
Scores of Sarpanches, social activists and others were also present in the function.
