Sarpanchs from Dudu-Latti area call on Advisor, CS

JAMMU, Apr 9: A delegation of the Sarpanchs from remote Dudu and Latti area of district Udhampur called on the Lt Governor’s Advisor, Baseer Khan and apprised him of the major public issues of the area.
The delegation comprising of Sarpanch Latti, Kasturi Lal Gupta; Sarpanch Dudu- Dev Raj and Sarpanch Sarar, Sudesh Chander during meeting with the Advisor, projected the issue of worst condition of Latti-Dudu-Basantgarh road, lack of Development by Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture, Handicrafts and Agriculture Departments, upgradation of PHC Latti to CHC Level, sanctioning of Degree College at Latti for which suitable land already stands identified and setting up of court at Latti Tehsil headquarters.
They also demanded upgradation/ improvement of water and power supply position in the area with creation of power receiving station besides extention of Latti Police Station’s jurisdiction. They also offered invitation to the Advisor to their area for seeking first hand information/ assessment about the problems and basic issues of the public of this remote Sub Division of Udhampur. The Advisor also agreed to the offer of visit.
Later, the delegation also called on Chief Secretary, BVR Subramaniam, Principal Secretary Home Shaleen Kabra, Secretary Health and Medical Education, Attal Dulloo and Director School Education, Jammu, Ravi Shanker and projected their issues.
