Sarthal Devi yatra to begin on July 20

JAMMU,  July 15: The annual Sarthal Devi Yatra will commence from Shri Gori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot on July 20 afternoon and it will proceed to the holy shrine in private buses and light vehicles hired by the Management Council of the Shrine.
This was announced in the meeting of the Management Committee of the Shrine held under the leadership of Sanjeev Parihar, vice chairman of the Committee. The meeting was convened on the directions of Vikram Ditya Singh, chairman Trustee of the Shrine to finalize the yatra arrangements.
The meeting said that the yatris will be provided free boarding , lodging and other facilities and all expenses will be borne by the Trust.
On July 21 a Maha Yagya will be performed at holy shrine for three days and bhandara will be arranged by the management of the Shrine.
On the concluding day a bhajan Kirtan will be held and prashad will be distributed to yatris on their way back to Kishtwar.
The Trust appealed yatris to visit the holy shrine and seek blessings. The meeting among others was attended by Anil Parihar, Kuldeep Sharma, Roshan Lal Sain, H R Bhotiyal, president SDS, P L Shant, R K Rana, Ved Parkash Gupta, Jabeer Singh, Gulab Chand, Kailash Chander etc.
