JAMMU, June 13: Former State president, BJP and Ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) handed over Ayushman Bharat Golden Card to a needy patient who needs an immediate operation. Vishal S/o Banarasi Lal R/o Ward 41, Patta Paloura was provided with the Golden Card by the ex MLA today.
Sharma was accompanied by BJP district president, Munish Khajuria, district general secretary, Advocate Rajesh Gupta and several others including local residents and political activists of the area. District vice president, Jaideep Sambyal took the initiative of providing the Golden Card of the patient.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the flagship scheme of the Government, Ayushman Bharat is the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to provide universal health care to the poor, needy and vulnerable sections of the country, who most need it.
A path-breaking approach and a game-changer, it is probably the biggest public healthcare initiative in the world, he added.
He also stated that Vishal was unable to cope up with the expenses of the hospital for his treatment as the family does not have enough financial resources to cope up with the treatment and being a responsible citizens it is our duty to help the needy in every way possible and that is the reason the activists of the party decided to help him in getting his Ayushman Bharat Golden Card so that he can get himself treated from best hospitals across the country.
Sharma also said that recently J&K Government announced to cover every household in J&K under free health insurance and he appealed to the Government to speed up the process to implement this much needed scheme at grass root level.
Munish said that many Central sponsored schemes were implemented in Jammu West at grass root level under the leadership of former MLA which helped common man a lot to change its lifestyle.
District secretary, Brijesh Gupta, Mandal general secretary, Vinod Wazir, Ward president, Ashok Wazir, Bubesh Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Jatinder Khajuria and Jugal Sharma were also present.
