Sat discusses good governance day programmes with party leaders

JAMMU, Dec 5: A meeting of the Incharges of the Committee constituted at district level to celebrate the birth anniversary of Atal Behari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India, as “Good Governance Day” (Sushasan Divas) on  December 25, was chaired by BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, here today.
It was also attended by State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and State general secretaries Harinder Gupta and Dr. Narinder Singh.
Prof. Virender Gupta, State spokesperson, State convenor of Department of Good Governance and State incharge for ‘Sushasan Divas’ programmes also assisted the State president in briefing the meeting about the scheduled programmes.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, said that a variety of programmes from December 23 to December 26 in the State at constituency and district levels will be organized in connection with ‘Sushasan Divas’. These include preparing folders to highlight the achievements of State and Centre Government, holding of marches with placard depicting the achievements of both the Governments, video presentation about the beneficiaries of the various schemes of Govt. of India, organizing essay competitions and seminars at Universities/Colleges/School level, organizing oath taking programmes, composition of songs and their recording in local languages/ dialects, organizing fair and exhibitions etc. He said that a team at State level has been framed for these programmes and the district incharge too have been nominated for the same.
Ashok Kaul, stressed upon the district incharges to involve the local activists in their respective areas to make the programmes successful so that the achievements of the Narendra Modi led Government are highlighted in a effective way.
The meeting was attended by Prof. (Dr.) P.L. Koul, Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu, Jaideep Sharma, V.K. Sethi, Parneesh Mahajan, Amar Singh, Shashi Pal Vaid, Dr. Narinder Raina, Vijay Mohan Thakur and Sanjeev Manmotra.
