JAMMU, Oct 8: Continuing the developmental agenda of present Coalition Government, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) inaugurated some newly constructed lanes and drains at Shakti Nagar (Ward 29) and Krishna Nagar (Ward 12) area and also started works for some new lanes in the areas covered under the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). A large number of people including JMC officials, local residents, political and social activists were also present.
The works were taken up under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh and an amount of Rs 10 lakh each has been spent on both the wards to improve the scenario of lanes and drains in both the areas and three to four lanes have been constructed under the plan in each Ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that he is committed to provide basic level infra to the residents of Jammu West and further it becomes the responsibility of the citizens as well to help in maintaining these things in the future by keeping their localities clean.
He said that under the tenure of present Coalition Government in the State, the development level has been taken up to new heights in the State and it will be seen that the pace of the all ongoing works are conducted in a systematic way in order to provide next level infrastructure to the masses of Jammu West.
He also appealed the masses as well to maintain the cleanliness in their localities so that a clean Constituency could be bloomed in coming times which will also further strengthen the hands of our Prime Minister who has dreamt of building “Swach Bharat”.
He also stated that more than Rs 100 crore of rupees have been spent in the whole Constituency and more new projects are also in consideration for Jammu West Assembly segment and they will be disclosed to public soon once they are approved by the Government and it will also help us in taking Jammu West to new heights of development which were ignored by the previous Governments in the State.
