JAMMU, May 10: Ex-MLA, Sat Sharma along with JMC Councillors of Wards 35, 36 and 37—Yash Pal Sharma, Subash Sharma and Sunita Gupta here today started construction work of garbage point in Janipur.
Terming it as an initiative to build clean Jammu, Sharma started the work in presence of BJP Mandal president, Raveesh Mengi, locals and political activists of the area.
The work for construction of garbage point will be done under smart city project at an estimated cost of Rs. 14 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said, earlier the place was not properly build and garbage which was dumped by thousands of locals created chaos and it was difficult for garbage auto helper to load the scattered garbage.
He said with construction of garbage point such problems will not occur.
Yash Pal and Subash said that this work will solve many basic problems of the area.
Sunita and Raveesh said that many schemes of Central Government were implemented in the Ward which changed the lifestyle of common masses.
Sanjay Bhat, Uday Chand, Sanket Sharma, Umesh Bharghav and others were also present.
