JAMMU, Oct 31: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporator, Neelam Nargotra started works for construction of drains at Ward Number 40, Lane 2 Kabir Nagar, Talab Tillo Jammu.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation). Sharma was accompanied by Mandal president, BJP Keshav Chopra, district general secretary BJP Rajesh Gupta, local leaders and the local residents of the area.
Earlier the drains were open from various sides and it created a foul atmosphere in the surroundings which caused problems for the locals and also caused pollution in the environment and now after the construction, there will be no problem for locals and a conducive atmosphere will be built around in order to make a clean area and ultimately it will also help in achieving the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi of building a cleaner and greener nation. Sharma said that though in some areas people are facing some difficulties due to the ongoing works, these works once completed will prove to be very beneficial for generations to come and such infrastructure will last for many decades, he added.
Neelam said that J&K UT witnessed an era of development and benefits of good governance after the implementation of 73rd and 74th amendment. She said such a large number of works were never taken before and all credit goes to BJP and PM Modi for thinking a lot about the welfare of J&K and its people. “Now we are witnessing major developmental works being taken up in each and every area’’, she stated.
She also credited former MLA for improving the infrastructural scenario of Jammu West Assembly segment.
Rahul Nargotra, Abhishek Sharma, Sachin Nargotra, Raj Kumar Manyal, Mohan Lal, Rajesh Bhagat, Sunil Handoo, Dr Babblu, Shallu Sharma, Kamla Sharma and several others were also present.
