JAMMU, Aug 16: Former Minister, Sat Sharma has stressed upon the LG administration to look into the grievances of National Youth Corp (NYC) employees and redress the same at the earliest.
He stated this during his public Darbar held at party office, here, where, a large number of deputations and individuals had reached to share their grievances and seek help in resolving the same.
Sat Sharma said that a deputation of JKNYC, under their president, Asif Ali Bhat, raised their concerns related to their jobs as they have been serving in 14 departments of the Jammu and Kashmir Government since 2010 with a meagre salary of Rs 2500. There was no provision of relief and compensation in case of casualty to them while performing duties, they narrated.
Sat Sharma said that the Government should instantly enhance their salary, regularise their services as they were selected through fair and proper channel.
Sat Sharma was accompanied by BJP leaders, Anju Dogra, Jeet Angral and Ankush Gupta, who penned down the grievances of the people during this sitting in public Darbar and assisted Sat Sharma in getting connected to the departmental officials through phone.
The deputations and individuals had grievances related to appointment of SPOs under sports quota, scarcity of water, repair of road and street lights, sewerage, insertion of names in ration cards, construction of community hall etc.
Every grievance was listened with patience and issues taken up with the senior officials of the concerned departments.
