JAMMU, Nov 22: In a major push to the infrastructural development in all spheres of Jammu West, State Vice President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma started works for black topping on roads from Patoli Chowk.
Accompanied by PWD (R&B) officials, many social and political activists and people hailing from all walks of life were also present on the occasion. The stretch of Patoli to Paloura road will be covered under the same including areas of Toph Bridge to Patoli Chowk and Subash Nagar to Shiv Nagar.
The works will be done under the supervision of PWD (R&B) at an estimated cost of around Rupees 1.86 crores.
Addressing the media persons, Sat Sharma said that works which were pending from more than two decades in the Constituency have been taken up on priority so that residents of the area should not face any problem pertaining to development in their areas.
He stated that the financial package announced by the Central Government few days back includes Rs 250 crores for development of Jammu City which includes all civil works pertaining to roads, lanes and drains and within no time the works for construction of nullahs under UEED will also be started for which a provision of Rs 100 crores is maintained by the State Government.
He also stated that under the term of present Government many major works have been taken up in Jammu which were ignored by the previous Government under its tenure and in the coming days the residents of the Constituency will themselves witness Jammu West blooming as a Model Constituency.
XEn PWD (R&B) Uttar Kumar, AEE Yasir Kichloo, JE Vikas Dogra, JE Rajinder Chopra, Mandal President BJP Vijay Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, Bal Khajuria, Sanjeev Sharma, Sanjay Sawhney and several others were also present on the occasion.
