JAMMU, Mar 29: Starting the macadamization works of one of the major main roads in Jammu West Assembly segment, State president BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) kickstarted the works for road covering the area of Toph Bridge to Canal Head (Near Pawan Ice Cream). The total project cost of the road is around Rs 1.15 crore and will cover many Wards of the Constituency including Ward Number 39, 28, 29,  33 and others.
The works will be executed under the supervision of PWD (R&B) Department. Many senior officials of the department, locals and political activists were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this work has been taken up after a long time as earlier the road was macadamized around two decades back.
He said as authorities failed to carry on necessary repairs from time to time the road is in worst condition at present due to which accidents are often taking place there.
He also stated that BJP is committed  to provide next level infrastructure to the masses and it will be seen that all other roads of the Constituency which are pending will be Blacktopped and Macadamized by the month of June/July.
Sharma also appreciated the efforts of PWD(R&B) Department and its officials who are working hard to provide best services to the masses of Jammu West.
Executive Engineer PWD(R&B) Uttam Kumar Sharma, AEE Yasir Kichloo, BJP secretary Sanjay Baru, district president BJP Ayodhya Gupta, Prem Gupta, Sat Khajuria, Sanjeev Sharma, Jai Singh Chib, Kuldeep Magotra, Surinder Choudhary and several others were also present.
