JAMMU, Jan 13: State president BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) today kick started the works for widening of path for Rajpura Park falling in Ward Number 29 of the Constituency.
Accompanied by officials of Floriculture Department, many local residents and political activists were also present on the occasion. A large number of people gathered on the spot and hailed the developmental measures taken by the local MLA to redress public grievances.
The works will be done under the supervision of Floriculture Department at an estimated cost of around Rs Five lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was a pending demand of the residents of the area from a long time as it is the only park which caters to the needs of local residents and adjoining areas so it was necessary to take up the developmental works in order to provide the public with basic amenities.
He also directed the officials to work on the boundaries of the park and establish a fencing system so that beautification of the park should be maintained and he also asked the public to frame a committee for the development and maintenance of the park.
He also stated that any further funds required for the maintenance and up gradation of the same will also be given from the CDF (Constituency Developm-ent Fund) Scheme so that a the quality of the modern park is maintained.
The BJP President also congratulated the masses of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Lohri and stated that development is the core agenda of BJP and timely whole State will witness the same when each and every work will reach the ground level which were ignored by previous Government of the State.
