
Visit martyr Jasbir Singh’s family at Khour

JAMMU, Mar 31: Sat Sharma CA, president, Jammu and Kashmir BJP and Sunil Sharma, LoP visited Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to enquire about the health and well-being of the brave policemen, SDPO Dheeraj Katoch and SPO Bharat Jalhotra, who sustained injuries during a recent anti-terror operation in Kathua. The visit aimed to ensure that the injured officers are receiving the best possible medical care and support for their speedy recovery.
They interacted with the injured policemen and with Principal, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta and Deputy Superintendent, Bharat Bhushan. They urged the medical authorities to provide top-quality treatment and care to the injured policemen, emphasizing that their dedication to duty must be acknowledged and appreciated by providing them with all necessary medical assistance.
The BJP leaders praised the courage and valour exhibited by the policemen during their encounter with terrorists in Kathua. They expressed gratitude on behalf of the party and the general public, highlighting that such bravery and commitment are instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of the region.
Sat Sharma CA, said “The bravery displayed by our policemen in Kathua is commendable,. Their dedication to protecting the citizens is unmatched, and we are here to ensure that they receive the best possible care,. We are also committed to extending all possible support to their families during this challenging time,’’ they added.
Sunil Sharma reiterated the party’s commitment to standing by the injured policemen and their families. “Our policemen have risked their lives for the safety of our nation. It is our duty to ensure they are well taken care of. We have spoken to the medical authorities here at GMC Jammu and urged them to provide the best treatment to facilitate their swift recovery,” he added.
They were accompanied by prominent party leaders, including Rajesh Gupta (district president), Kushant Prajapati and Anil Angral (Mandal presidents), Ravikant Sharma, Ramesh Gupta, Mohit Vaid, and Sonu Manhas.
Meanwhile, the two leaders accompanied by party MLAs, senior leaders, and local activists, visited the residence of martyr Jangbir Singh Choudhary in village Mattu of Khour block to express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Sat Sharma CA was accompanied by former Minister and MLA, Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, Akhnoor district president Kuldeep Banotra, DDC vice-chairperson, Suraj Singh, former Vice Chairman, Daljit Singh Chib, Jagdish Bhagat and others.
Sat Sharma while expressing sympathies with the family, lauded the bravery and supreme sacrifice of Jangbir Singh Choudhary, describing him as a “brave son of the soil.” He stated that such sacrifices by valiant soldiers cannot demoralize the security forces who are relentlessly fighting against anti-national elements to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation.
Sat Sharma also demanded adequate compensation for the family of the martyr and urged the Government to provide a job to a member of the martyr’s family as a gesture of respect and recognition for Jangbir Singh Choudhary’s bravery.
Sunil Sharma affirmed that he himself, the entire BJP leadership, both at the Centre and in the Union Territory, salute the martyrdom of Jangbir Singh Choudhary. Sharma assured the family that he would personally take up the matter with the Lieutenant Governor to ensure free education for the martyr’s two children, securing their future as a tribute to their father’s service to the nation.
