LEH, July 29: Secretary, Information Technology, Ladakh, Saugat Biswas, chaired a meeting regarding the end-to-end digitisation of State DBT Schemes and their on-boarding on mobile platform on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence. It was informed that the Government has set the target of end-to-end digitization of major DBT schemes and their availability on UMANG mobile platform as apps in time to coincide with the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence i.e. 15 August, 2022. Secretary Biswas added that adoption of DBT will empower Departments to monitor funds flow to the last level and track beneficiaries.
Secretary Biswas reviewed the DBT mobile application for transferring money under various welfare schemes through the Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) to beneficiaries.
Directions were issued to all the Departments to achieve DBT transactions using Govt of India portals or through the portals being developed by the Information Technology Department of Ladakh.
“The Information Technology Department will help the Administrative Departments to develop web applications for end to end digitisation of schemes for delivery of G2C services,” he added.
Ladakh will coordinate regarding integration of available central DBT portals of various departments with single DBT portal of the MHA.
Biswas further directed all the Directors to examine G2C or G2B Services in terms of Direct Benefit Transfer that needs to be made online or if there is any technical limitation in activating the DBT through the Central Government portal then the IT Department may be approached immediately for creation/ development of such portal for the purpose of seamless DBT.
