CHENNAI, Nov 11:The Board of Directors of Ashok Leyland, at its meeting last week, decided to induct Saugata Gupta as Independent Director and Vipin Sondhi as Director to its Board of Directors.
Saugata is a very well accomplished corporate leader and is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Marico Limited.
He is credited with transforming Marico into a high performing business, responsible for driving growth and operations both in India and across international markets, with a commitment to sustainable development.
Earlier in August, the Hinduja Group announced that Vipin Sondhi is brought into its Group’s leadership team, where apart from other responsibilities, he will focus on consolidation, growth and future strategy of the Group’s global automotive portfolio.
Vipin Sondhi will formally join the Hinduja Group later this month from JCB, where he is the MD and CEO-India, South East Asia and Pacific and a member of their Global Executive Leadership Team, a release from Ashok Leyland said here today. Company Chairman Dheeraj Hinduja said he look forward to collaborating closely with them to help achieve Ashok Leyland’s new vision to be amongst the Top 10 CV manufacturers globally. (UNI)
