JAMMU, Oct 3: “Save Constitution Yatra” launched by Bhim Army, as a country wide programme arrived here today
OBC Mahasabha, National Confedration of SC, ST and OBCs JK-UT and All India Backward Classes Federation JK-UT welcomed “Save Constitution Yatra” led by Pawan Kumar Loni, president and other Members of Bhim Army Bharat Ekta Mission, and accorded warm reception in Jammu City.
This yatra was started on Ist October 2023 from Kathua and it took night halt at Ramgarh and second halt at RS Pura after holding programmes at various villages and towns. It arrived Jammu today and then left for Akhnoor, for onward journey to Nowshera and Rajouri. After visiting Reasi, Udhampur and Billwar, Yatra will culminate at Mahanpur after a big rally on the death anniversary of Late Kanshi Ram. The Bhim Army is holding SAVE CONSTITUTION YATRAs all over India under the direction of Chander Shekhar Azad- National president of Bhim Army.
The main aim of this yatra to educate the masses of Jammu & Kashmir regarding Save Constitution from the cruel jaws of ruling political party which is bent upon to run this country on religion basis but not as per constitution of India.
RK Kalsotra, president National Confedration of SC, ST and OBCs declared that regarding the save constitution a National level rally will be held on November 5, 2023 at New Delhi.
Faquir Chand Satia, president AIBCF said that the announcement by Govt of Jammu & Kashmir that reservation to OBCs in Municipal Corporation and Panchayati Raj system is only a Lallipop for OBC masses. He said that JK-UT Govt is bound to follow the Supreme Court Judgment dated 10.05.2022 on writ petition number-278 of 2022.
Prominent among those present included Kasturi Lal Basotra, Mohd Shabir Sambyal, Raj Kumar Chalotra, Balwant Katria, Bansi Lal Choudhary, Ravi Kumar Dogra, Madan Lal Baldotra, Chaman Lal, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Tarsame Khullar, Kuldeep Singh, Romesh Sarmal, Ashu Peeter and others
