Save the girl child

Sir,
Beti Bachao, Beti Padao is  hot slogan now-a-days. This slogan needs practical implementation as this sensitive sex of the human society needs enough care, protection and encouragement from NGO’s, State Govt and civil society.
Gone are the days, when education of a girl child was a social taboo. She was confined within the four walls of her house by the conservative parents. Now every amancipated parent should prioritize the education of girl child, so that her hidden talents are channelized in fruitful directions. Girls now excel in every field. Any discrimination towards the girl child shall hurt her ego, whether by adolescents or by her own family members. If they are treated with affection, they shall excel in every field and shall prove good administrators of the future. The shining example is our Mehbooba Mufti, the first woman Chief Minister of our State.
So it is the first and foremost duty of the State Govts to depute ASHA workers to every nook and corner of the State to ascertain that the slogan of ‘Good governance’ is implemented in the farthest and neglected villages of the State where the poor people ill afford to educate the girl child properly still feeling her a liability and marry her at a tender age. If she is still looked with a scorn and not treated at par with the  male child, it shall be the greatest shame for an emancipated society and we shall go back towards barbarism.
Let me conclude, if we concentrate this slogan and execute it in towns and cities only and not pay attention towards the far flung villages and neglected sections of the society, the whole social structure shall crumble and we shall have to pay a heavy price for its as girl child ratio is fast declining in several states. The old notion still prevails that a girl child is a burden even in some well to do states as well.
Yours etc…
