Water is one of the most important substances on earth. All plants and animals need it to survive. Water and life are closely linked. If there was no water there would be no life on earth. People use it for multi purposes such as drinking, cooking, washing, bathing etc. Apart from that, it is also essential for the healthy growth of farm crops. Agriculture, which is the profession of billions of people, is fully dependent on it. Therefore, it plays a significant role in the world economy. Today however, due to our negligence this precious gift from God is getting polluted. Liquid waste of households, agricultural lands and factories is making it harmful and poisonous. Here comes the responsibility of both the Government and people to resolve this problem. The Government should install water treatment plants in plenty, whereas people need to be cautious about it in their day-to-day activities wherein usage of water is involved.
