Saving Indian economy

Sir,
Refer, “Hope of Happier Times” by Tavleen Singh D.E. Sept 6, 2013. There is no doubt that new R.B.I. Governor Raghuram Rajan is seen as a man who could succeed in  taking some steps to save Indian economy. But I am sure he will not be able to make any difference. The reason is, all decisions in India, regarding economy are taken by the politicians in power. Indian politicians have only one aim: win elections and loots  public money.
Over population, corruption and inflation are three most vicious problems of India, which should have been tackled ruthlessly and honestly. But no action has been taken to solve or reduce the impact of these problems.
I wonder, when the common Indian becomes aware of these clever and dishonest actions of politicians.
Yours etc….
