Sawhney, Pranav conduct door to door campaign for Madan

Jammu, Apr 1: In connection with the on-going campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, Yogesh Sawhney former Minister and Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) vice president Pranav Shagotra conducted door to door campaign in Ward  No 7- Christian Colony, Prem Nagar and adjoining localities of Jammu East Assembly segment.
During the hectic door to door campaign, Congress leaders sought support for party candidate Madan Lal Sharma and said that Congress candidate is most deserving candidate among all the contestants. They said that Madan Lal Sharma, as MP, has proved himself a real and credible representative of the people of Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha segment.
They said that Congress is the only which party which believe  that India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and want all people from all parts of the country to live happily throughout the length and breadth of India.
Congress leaders educated the people about various revolutionary schemes launched by the Congress UPA Government during the last ten days for the betterment of the all sections of the society. They especially mentioned that decision of the State Government to extend 73rd Amendment of Indian Constitution to J&K was the biggest achievements of Congress party. He further said that to strength  Urban Local Bodies Congress is committed to extend 74th Amendment of the Indian Constitution to J&K.
Calling upon the people to strengthen hands of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and AICC vice Rahul Gandhi, he said that it was result of the vision of Congress leadership that various revolutionary steps have been taken by the UPA Government.
“The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is the largest welfare scheme of its kind in the world started in 2006. Wages given under the scheme per day have almost doubled from Rs.65 to Rs. 128 since the launch of the scheme.
