JAMMU, Mar 18: A meeting session for the State general secretaries of various Northern and Central Indian States was conducted at All India Congress headquarters, 24 Akbar Road, New Delhi.
A party spokesman said that the main objective of the meeting was to discuss the suggestions and thoughts of various Congress members present, who were representing their respective States.
Yogesh Sawhney, PCC general secretary and former Minister J&K represented the J&K state. He said the meeting was proved very constructive and helpful as various members were given a platform to voice their opinions for the future development of the party.
This meeting was chaired by Sachin Rao, in charge of AICC “Training” and “Sandesh” and Mahendra Joshi, secretary AICC (Training) was also present for guidance.
The meeting focussed on addressing how Congress workers must be trained in all States so as to strengthen the party and be encouraged to work hard along the lines of the party’s policies. The meeting discussed the glorious history of Congress party through the struggle in the independence years, and how it has worked for the development of the country since those times and continues to do so. It also focused on highlighting the inherent ideologies of the party.
