SAYWS invited by Ram Janmabhoomi Trust to set up Langar in Ayodhya

JAMMU, Feb 3: Shree Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS) has been invited by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to set up a free Langar in Ayodhya.
SAYWS is the only langar society from J&K which has been given this opportunity.
In a press conference here today SAYWS president, Kiran Wattal said: “It is a proud moment for the people of J&K and the langar services are being offered on their behalf.”
“This is indeed a great occasion. I am sure that peace would permanently be restored in J&K with the blessings of Bhagwan Ram,” he said and attributed this achievement to LG Manoj Sinha, saying that SAYWS gets full support of his administration during the holy Amarnath Yatra when it sets up a langar outside Jammu Railway Station.
Special thanks were extended to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar also for his support to SAYWS for Amarnath Yatra langar.
A handout stated that decision to provide langar space and the requisite support infrastructure in Ayodhya was taken in a meeting taken by BJP’s national general secretary, Tarun Chugh in Ayodhya on January 17. Besides Wattal, the meeting was attended by SAWYS senior vice-president, Prem Sharma and general secretary, Anil Gupta.
Wattal claimed that SAYWS has been offering langar services solely with the support of its office bearers without any external contributions.
SAYWS will be offering free langar services for two months from January 26 to March 25 to Ram Bhakts visiting the newly constructed Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya.
The handout also claimed that the langar on January 26 was started by the families of Wattal and Prem.
“About 15,000 to 20,000 Ram Bhakts are being offered Langar Prasad every-day,” Wattal informed adding: “SAYWS has set up langar at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk near Ram Ki Poudi for devotees.”
“We see this as the blessing of Shree Ram that we’ll be running this community kitchen service for two months,” SAYWS chairman, Rajesh Gupta said.
SAYWS senior vice-president, Prem Sharma; general secretary, Anil Gupta; vice-presidents-Raman Suri & Tapan Dubey; secretary, Pintoo Pandita; media coordinator, Kamal Gangoo and executive members- Kuldeep Luthra, Rakesh Malhotra, Ashwani Gupta, Ashwani and Ashok Sharma thanked all those who are helping in this noble cause and hoped that the initiative would go a long way in establishing J&K’s linkage with the holy city in coming time.
“SAYWS sister organisations – Mata Kheer Bhawani Welfare Society, Tourism Federation Jammu, Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and Global Solace – are equally contributing for the success of SAYWS activities,” Wattal further claimed.
