SBI donates diesel genset

JAMMU, June 13: Arvind Priya, General Manager, State Bank of India, J&K Module, today dedicated 100 kva Diesel Genset to Kristu Jyoti Welfare Society Hospital Samba to help the society serve people of Samba and nearby villages in a better way.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that under Corporate Social Responsibility, SBI has always contributed towards education, healthcare, employment generation, natural calamities, science & technology, pollution control and poverty alleviation.
Ajay Gupta, Regional Manager, RBO-III, SBI Jammu, said that considering good track record of Kristu Jyoti Welfare Society in rendering selfless service to the humanity, SBI decided to donate the Genset.
Sister Agnes, Ex-Provincial of the Society, dwelt at length about their efforts that led to establishment of Kristu Jyoti Hospital and also briefed about the role of the Society in rendering social services in the State.
Sister Sheril, Administrator of the Hospital, presented vote of thanks to the guests.
S K Kandroo, Chief Manager, Samba Branch and Sister Serene of the Society were also present on the occasion.
