SBI installs solar power system at old age home

JAMMU, Feb 1: In a heartening move to improve the quality of life for the residents of Sewa Samiti, an old age home in Akhnoor, the State Bank of India (SBI) installed a solar power system at the old age home.
The installation ceremony was graced by Kumar Ji Raina, the Regional Manager of SBI, who highlighted the Bank’s commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized communities. “At SBI, we believe in supporting and uplifting those who are often overlooked, and initiatives like these are a testament to our dedication,” Raina said during his address.
Divya Bhushan Mishra, the president of Sewa Samiti Ashram said, “This solar system will make a huge difference in the lives of our residents by providing reliable and eco-friendly lighting, creating a safer and more comfortable environment”.
The event also saw the presence of Rakesh Kumar Handoo, Chief Manager of Bank’s Akhnoor Branch, along with other committee members.
