CHANDIGARH, Aug 14: SBI here today launched a public awareness campaign for PM Svanidhi scheme for giving financial assistance for economic activities to street vendors.
This campaign is part of the saturation drive for covering all street vendors for financial assistance in the Chandigarh Circle which include Punjab, Haryana, HP and UTs of J&K, Ladakh and Chandigarh.
Vinod Jaiswal, Chief General Manager State Bank of India (SBI), Chandigarh Circle along with other senior officials of the Bank flagged off mobile vans for publicity of PM Svanidhi loan scheme.
These vans will move around in markets of street vendors with banners and jingles for awareness of the micro-credit loan scheme.
Registration cum application forms will be available in the vans for on spot registration of street vendors for PM Svanidhi scheme to get benefited by security free loan up to Rs. 10,000.
A handout of SBI stated that there shall be a subsidy of interest @ 7 per cent on regular repayment and cash back up to Rs. 1200 on digital transaction in a year and repayment on time will get a bigger loan amount next time.
