JAMMU, July 3: On the occasion of Circle Foundation Day of Chandigarh Circle, State Bank of India (SBI) today organized a blood donation camp at its Local Head Office, Chandigarh in collaboration with PGIMER Chandigarh.
A handout stated that the Camp was an annual calendar event of SBI in which staff members organize blood donation camp as part of their commitment to social service.
On this occasion, 112 staff members of SBI fulfilled their commitment to social responsibility by donating blood.
Vinod Jaiswal, Chief General Manager, SBI appreciated all the blood donors who participated in the Camp and termed it as a symbol of work ethic of the Bank staff.
He said: “While serving in the Bank, the staff members get a lot of opportunities for social awareness and welfare.”
Many staff members donated blood as a social responsibility.
Jaiswal thanked all the blood donors and encouraged them to continue the practise in future as well.
President and members of SBI Ladies Club, Chandigarh Circle, felicitated the blood donors and presented them mementos.
The team of doctors and para-medical staff of PGI conducted tests on the assembled staff members and made arrangements for smooth blood donation.
