JAMMU, Jan 15: State Bank of India (SBI), Jammu Cantt, under Regional Business office, Region II Jammu, organized a financial literacy camp in the branch premises, today.
More than 60 customers participated in the camp. Chief Manager of the Branch Sh P L Koul explained the participants about the need of these camps and also informed them about the different schemes launched by the Government and the Bank for the upliftment of the poor masses in the country, who are otherwise deprived of the Banking facilities.
The schemes like ‘Sukana Samridhi’, ATAL Pension scheme, Jandhan accounrts, tiny accounts, Mudra Loans and Gold loans were explained in detail and the queries raised by the public were answered.
In addition to this the participants were educated about Health Insurance, Personal accident insurance, Pension loans, Recurring deposit accounts, etc.
The participants were also cautioned about giving the details of their ATMs, account numbers on phone to fraudulent persons, and were requested not to disclose any information on phone to any person who so ever may be.
