SBI Swankha organises women customers meet

JAMMU, May 28: Taking a step forward for women empowerment and gender based financial inclusion, SBI Swankha, J&K’s All – Ladies Branch orgainsed women customers meet wherein ladies of Swankha and other nearby villages participated in large numbers including the nearby school teachers.
The main objective behind the meeting was to spread awareness about the banking activites amongst the rural household ladies to enable them to have more access to bank credit facilities especially Agricultural, gold loan, housing loan, Self Help group credit facilities which would give them control not just over household assets, but also more autonomy and decision – making power and greater participation in public life.
Speaking on the occassion,  Nidhi Anand, Branch Head discussed about the various benefits women can derive by saving their money in bank especially Recurring deposits and Fixed deposits. Further, she highlighted the developmental role of bank in uplifting and ugrading the life of rural household ladies by means of women friendly loaning schemes of the bank especially Housing loan for women at concessional interest rates, Self-Group credit schemes.
Elaborating further,  Nupur Samnotra discussed the various variants of Personal Accidental Insurance Schemes starting at nominal premium of Rs 100 and benefits of using ATM-cum-Debit card and other customer friendly facilities offered by the bank and assured the lady customers of best banking services in the future.
Finally, Nidhi Anand, Branch Head along with other staff members thanked the ladies for participating in the occasion.
