MUMBAI, Apr 5: Public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI) has been conferred the National Award by the ministry of Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for its performance in the implementation of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) scheme for the year 2012.
This is the fourth year that SBI has achieved this award for its performance under the scheme since inception, a release isuued by the bank said.
The bank had surpassed the target set under PMEGP scheme for FY2011-12, the release added.
