SBM employees stage protest

JAMMU, Feb 29: Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) employees held brief protest at Exhibition Ground near Press Club here today.
The employees assembled at the venue under the banner of  All J&K Saakshar Bharat Mission Forum and started their protest demonstration in support of their demands. They expressed resentment over the delay in issuing the regularization orders and pending salary in favour of SBM workers.
Ishaf Ahmed Shah, state president, of the Mission  said that Government was playing hide and seek with the agitating employees.  He said  about 6000 youths were appointed under the scheme at different levels and have been struggling for their regularization.     He said that scheme has been extended by the Government of India up to 2017 but their regularization has been awaited.  Mohd Mahroof, Javid Ahmad and  Bilal Ahmad also addressed the gathering.
