SRINAGAR, Aug 18: Four books written by eminent litterateur Yashpaul Nirmal were released today by Sarv Bhasha Trust (SBT), New Delhi.
The books were released in the ongoing nine days Chinaar Book festival organised by the National Book Trust.
The books entitled Bus Toon Gai Toon Ain (collection of Dogri Poetry), Shabd Amrit (Hindi Translation of Dogri poetry by Mohammad Yaseen Baig), Tali’s Jaan (Dogri translation of Dr. Sudakar Adeeb’s collection of Hindi Poetry) and Chuttian (Gojri Translation Children Novel by Shagufta Choudhary) were displayed during the function.
Eminent litterateur of Hindi, Urdu and Kashmiri Dr. Satish Vimal presided on the function, English litterateur and Sr. Editor in English J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Dr. Abid Ahmad, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and prominent Kashmiri litterateur Mushtaq Ahmad Mushtaq was the guest of Honour.
Keshav Mohan Pandey, Organizer SBT and Karan Targotra also shared the dias.
Earlier, Keshav Mohan Pandey in his address said that Yashpal Nirmal is the National Research Director of SBT and has been deeply involved in literary writing and translation work for the last several years.
Satish Vimal appreciated the efforts of Yashpaul Nirmal for the promotion of Languages and literature of different languages in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Guest Dr. Abid Ahmad congratulated Yashpaul Nirmal for earning recognition at national level in the field of language, literature, translation and children literature.
“Yashpaul Nirmal is literary icon of J&K. His efforts for the development of languages and literature of J&K highly appreciated and recognized at National level,” he said.
The program was conducted by Vikesh Pandey and Satya Prakash.
