JAMMU, Dec. 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Employees Forum members called on Vice-Chairperson, J&K State Advisory Board for the Welfare & Development of Scheduled Vice-Chairperson Swarn Lata, today and discussed with her the issues of Jammu University Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe employees.
Members alleged that the reservation quota (in services) is not being implemented in toto by the administration of the Jammu University. They also told that the University has till date, filled up 16 posts of Assistant Registrar through direct recruitment and out of sixteen, two posts were required to be filled with SCs and two with STs as per the Reservation Rules, but the University administration didn’t utilised the full reserved quota.
Vice Chairperson assured the SCEF members that she would discuss all issues in the ensuing meeting of the Board to seek justice for them.
