SC/ST Corpn holds camp, awares people about schemes

Jammu, Aug 9: Mohammad Saleem Malik, MD/SC/ST/OBCs Development Corporation has decided to conduct the Awareness Camp/Programme, in different areas of U.T. to make the target group public i.e. of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes, Notified National Minorities, Safai Karamcharis & Handicapped , aware about the various schemes of the Corporation for availing benefits.
Accordingly, J&K SC, ST & BC Development Corporation today conducted one-day Awareness Camp, at Sangwali Tehsil Gagwal, District Samba, in collaboration with National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation (NSFDC), an undertaking of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. In the Programme schemes of NSFDC and the scheme being run by this Corporations were highlighted and people particularly the unemployed youth of target were requested to avail maximum benefits of the schemes of the Corporation, to establish self employment ventures/units and live with dignity and pride.
At the occasion the officers of the Corporation including G.Q.Khatana, General Manager, Mohammad Iqbal Kataria, Deputy General Manager (projects)and Sat Paul, District Manager Samba, gave detailed information/awareness about the schemes of Corporation i.e.Direct Financing scheme including Educational Loan scheme of the Corporation available for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes, Notified National Minorities, Safai Karamcharis & Handicapped categories in collaboration with National Level Financed & Dev. Corporation and Bank Tie-up scheme available for BPL families of Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes categories with Bank Loan assistance.
Tarseem Singh, Sarpanch and Karnail Chand, Naib Sarpanch of Sangwali were also spoke on the occasion.
